No limitation of defects in the sections between clear
cuttings.
Each piece yields 60% or better of its length in clear
cuttings within
the minimum cutting 300mm and longer with 2 faces/edges
defect free,
except following 1-4.
Following defects shall be permitted on either face/edge:
1. Resin streak : one, 0.5mmW, 100mmL
2. Sloping grain : not restricted
3. Stain : insufficient to impair a natural finish
4. Surface checks : No specified number, 0.5mmW, 50mmL

*The reason why wider boads could increase the value
of the board in comparison to narrower boards. The wider
width board is graded according to the overall defects
present. A wider board could increase its value to the
customer, if it is ripped down into a variety of narrower
cuts, cutting around the defects present, and producing
higher value cuts.
